Burrillville Animal Shelter

Thanks to all who have donated to the Animal Shelter. Your donations are always greatly appreciated.

The Burrillville Animal Shelter could use your help. If you can't adopt a shelter pet, you can help make the days happier for the animals at the shelter who are patiently waiting to find their forever homes. Donations for the shelter can be dropped off at the JMS Library. There is a list of most needed items posted in the Library, and cash donations are always welcome to help with veterinary care for the animals.

January 2016

An important note on pet safety—

This winter, when you take a walk with your pet, please be sure to clean your pet's paws after each walk outdoors. If your pets lick ice melt, rock salt, and antifreeze from their paws, it can make them very sick or even kill them. Thank you!

Support Your Favorite Animal Cause

You and your pet can help support your favorite animal causes by just getting out and taking a walk!

Walk for a Dog and ResQWalk are helping animals one step at a time. By downloading their smartphone apps, you and your best friend can take a walk and support you favorite animal cause at the same time! It's easy to do, and the walks are good for you and your best friend.

And just in case you do sign up, Burrillville Animal Control is registered with both Walk for a Dog and ResQWalk.

We wish you all a happy and healthy 2016!
