During inclement weather, the Library may close early, delay opening time, or be closed all day when weather conditions warrant. If you are in doubt, please call ahead (401-710-7800) or check online here or on Facebook.

We also send closing information to the Rhode Island Broadcasting Association so check your favorite television news station.

Whenever the library closes early, fines are suspended for materials which were due but could not be returned on that day. All materials due on the day of closing then become due on the next open day.

Children's Programs Cancellations —

All children’s programs will be cancelled if classes in the Burrillville Public Schools are cancelled, even if the library elects to remain open.

Book Discussion

Wednesday, October 12th
11:15 a.m.

Chronicling the career of a back-country lawyer whose idealism is overcome by his lust for power, this classic book, a Pulitzer Prize winner and source of an academy award winning movie, this novel on american politics is arguably one of the finest ever published.

Warren's book has been informing and pleasing readers and critics for over 50 years, and it should provide a lively discussion during this Presidential election year.

The library's adult book discussion group is open to all who are interested in reading and discussing a book together. Books are chosen ahead of time. Multiple copies are available at the library's check-out desk. Readers may also place their own holds on the book, e-book, or audiobook.

To find out about upcoming book discussion titles see our Selection List 2016-2017.
